Dr. Valerie Althouse - Mid-Atlantic North Area Director
Valerie serves as the Mid-Atlantic North Area Director for International Students Inc (ISI). She also serves as adjunct faculty for Alliance Theological Seminary (ATS) in the areas of Missions and Evangelism. She is a Spiritual Life Advisor (Chaplain) at New York University where she founded the English Connections program for international students. She gives leadership to CoMovement (a network of faith-based groups working among international students in New York City). Her current role involves oversight and development of staff, as well as providing training for ministry partners/volunteers. She desires to connect missional believers with opportunities to serve and reach international students.
She has earned both a BS and MS in Biblical Studies, and holds a Doctorate in Ministry in Leadership in the Global Context. She is a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach, working as an Executive Coach with CESD, and also holds a certificate from NYU in Leading Religious Diversity in Higher Education.
Valerie’s hobbies are vocal performance with her choir, time with her two nieces and four nephews, puzzles, DIY home decor projects and travelling pretty much anywhere in the world she hasn't yet visited! Oh yes - and dreaming of the dog she will one day own!
